Quohbaans are one of the most intelligent species on Ahgmahdon. They have many similarities to humans in both their physical appearance, psychology, and in their social structure. That being said; there are also some major differences. (Note: This page is still in the works)

Physique

Quohbaans are bipeds. They're built to survive both in the lush green forests, and the damp wetlands. One could describe their looks as insect-like, due to their external mandibles and the antennae they have sprouting from their foreheads that they use to hear. Others can describe them as reptiles, or even mammals, due to the fact that quohbaans can either have fur or scales; although mixtures of the two have not been seen.

If a healthy quohbaan is hatched, they grow up with four arms, the hands of the upper arms having three fingers, while the hands of the lower arms have four, one tail that is placed above the rump, two legs with four toes each, the aforementioned mandibles that is placed at the end of the cheekbones, and antennae that sprout from the forehead.

Fully grown male quohbaans usually reach heights around 11 feet at head, while females usually reach to around 10.4 feet at head. A healthy quohbaan, no matter the gender, will most likely be very physically strong due to that being required in the places most quohbaans decide to settle.

Mutations

That being said, there exists multiple mutations and issues that a quohbaan might be hatched with due to a parent having an unresolved problem, curses, or certain toxins the female parent could've ingested during pregnancy. Most of the mutations that affect quohbaan children are either hatched stillborn or die shortly after the hatching if the mutation is lethal enough, but there are known cases of mutated quohbaans that live, or have lived a full life. One of these alive mutants goes by the name of Moriyoka, who has lived with multiple issues all his life.

Behavior & Social Structure

Quohbaans, like humans, are a social species. They work best in groups, and both parents raise their young all the way up to the ages of 15 or 18, if the child is able to take care of themselves by that time. Many quohbaans live in settlements in either Swamps, or Forests, the most common choice being swamps due to the sheer abundance of them. Quohbaans are smart, and they use their intellect to survive in the harsh conditions Ahgmahdon poses; this is often shown off by the tools, weapons, clothing, and settlements they build either by hand or magic.

One thing that is different between quohbaans and us humans, is that gender roles are nearly nonexistent when it comes to quohbaans. Some quohbaan males are very in tune with their emotions, and some quohbaan females can make excellent scavengers and warriors. It is tradition to pure quohbaans, and is even as taboo, is to prohibit the love of two, or several quohbaans, although pedophilia and bestiality is highly frowned upon by the majority of quohbaans. Homosexuality and asexuality however, are seen as potential threats to the population of a certain settlement, by some quohbaans, but this has never gone further than some mild disgust; asexual or homosexual quohbaans are almost never killed because of their sexuality. In the worst cases, homosexual or asexual quohbaans are cast out from their homes.

Personalities & Soul Pearls

When it comes to the personality of a quohbaan, like humans, it varies greatly from quohbaan to quohbaan, although one thing is shared with them all; teamwork. Two or more quohbaans that have known each other for a while can do teamwork that rarely ever requires spoken words. It is agreed that what quohbaans use when they show this level of cooperation is a type of telepathy. Note; this telepathy can only be used by quohbaans who know each other. The stronger the bond, the more potent the telepathy.

In the middle of a quohbaans chest, in front of the heart, lays a pearl. This pearl has been named the Soul Pearl, due to the many similarities the pearl has to a Soul. The pearl stores a quohbaans personality, force of will, magic, and ability to process the properties in food a quohbaan needs to survive that the rest of the body can't handle. If a soul pearl is removed from a quohbaan (if one manages to get through the rib cage), the brain will still remain functional, for a time, but the quohbaan will be like a lifeless puppet. A pearl-less quohbaan rarely ever lasts more than one week after the pearls removal. After approximately one week, the pearl-less quohbaan will turn to dust, just like the body of an already dead quohbaan.
